In loving memory, honor and great appreciation for our former campus co-founder, Extension Campus Director, and professor, the LCU-St. Petersburg, FL Campus establishes the John H. Chance Christian Education Scholarship for eligible recipients pursuing ministry and/or seminary training.
The late, Pastor John H. Chance, was the founder and senior pastor of the W.I.N.G.S. Fellowship Church (St. Petersburg, FL). Born in Georgia, he was saved at an early age. Pastor Chance attended elementary and high school in the Burke County school system and moved to St. Petersburg in 1974.
He was a devoted husband and father. He was married to the lovely Cynthia H. Chance for over thirty years and they are the proud parents of one son, Jawon.
Pastor Chance made a solid commitment to the Lord in 1986 with a passion for sound biblical teaching and life-long education. He attended the Florida Beacon Bible School Ministry program where he received an Associates Degree and graduated with a Bachelor of Theology Degree from Christian Faith College.
